From print to screen
What translates from editorial design to the web — and what doesn't.

Most of my favourite projects started on paper. Moving them to the screen taught me which habits to keep and which to drop.
Keep: a strong grid, real hierarchy, and the discipline of preparing files properly. A magazine spread and a landing page both reward restraint.
Drop: the idea that a layout is ever “final”. On screen the canvas changes size constantly, so the system has to bend without breaking.
The bridge between the two is type. If the typography is right, the work feels like mine whether it’s printed at A4 or rendered on a phone.
