Designing this portfolio

I wanted this site to feel like my printed work: confident type, generous space and a single loud accent.

Type

Headlines are set in a heavy industrial grotesque so they read like a stamp. Body copy uses Karmina Sans — warm, humanist and easy to read at length. Small labels use a monospaced face to keep that editorial, almost technical texture you see on the margins of a well-made magazine.

Colour

Two colours do most of the work: a warm paper cream and a hot pink. The cream keeps everything calm; the pink shows up where I want your eye to go.

Motion

Nothing moves unless it earns it. Text reveals as you scroll, my name draws itself in, and the rest stays still. If you prefer reduced motion, the site respects that and simply shows everything at rest.
